Cuvée de l'Ecureuil

Darbyste - 5.8% alc/vol

Comments - First brewed 1990. Described by the brewery as a fruity white beer. Includes fig juice in the ingredients.
Tasting Notes - Unusual but characterful beer, light in colour it gives the impression of being a dark beer. It is gently grainy with a figgy fruitiness, starts sweet, develops a hint of sourness and then becomes gently bitter.

La Moneuse Spéciale Noël - 8% alc/vol

Tasting Notes - Not as dark as you would expect, it starts off almost refreshing and summery but gives way to a more pronounced winter quality. Warming with a bitter hoppy kick and a touch of tart citric.

La Moneuse - 8% alc/vol

Tasting Notes - The complexity of the aroma isn't delivered by the taste which is of strong hops and tangy bitterness lifted by some fruit and sharp lemon.

Saison D'Epeautre - 6% alc/vol

Comments - Uses pilsener malt and spelt (a close relative of wheat).
Tasting Notes - Distinctive but disappointing beer with texture dominant over the wishy-washy taste until the bitterness in the finish takes over.
