Bière Blanche de Nice

Comments - For export to France.

Bock - 2.7% alc/vol View Label 8 Kb

Comments - A blend of Royal Blonde and Silly Pils. Also sold as Triple Bock.
Tasting Notes - For such a weak beer it has a commendably interesting taste.

Brave Broeder - 6% alc/vol

Brug Ale - 5% alc/vol View Label 9 Kb

Comments - First brewed about 1940.
Tasting Notes - Surprisingly interesting taste that possesses the typical Silly fruity ale characteristics.

Cervoise de l'Avouerie d'Anthisnes - 6% alc/vol

Comments - Brewed for Corman-Collins of Battice.

Cuvée des Hauts Voués - 8% alc/vol

Comments - Also sold as La Gueule Noire Koempelbier when labelled for
Tasting Notes - Distinctly malty beer with a bittersweet fruitiness and some spice.

Delbecca

La Divine - 9.5% alc/vol View Label 10 Kb

Comments - First brewed 1991.
Tasting Notes - Frighteningly easy to drink, uncompromisingly strong, dark, fruity and distinctly Wallonian ale.

Double D'Enghien Blonde - 7.5% alc/vol View Label 10 Kb

Comments - First brewed 1992.
Tasting Notes - Easy drinking characterful ale with many typically Walloon traits and a pleasant smooth, creamy texture.

Double D'Enghien Brune - 8% alc/vol View Label 11 Kb

Comments - First brewed 1860, taken on by Silly when they bought Tennstedt Decroes brewery in 1975.
Tasting Notes - An overtly fruity beer redeemed by good use of hops in the palate and a strong "after dinner" finish.

Enghien Noël - 9% alc/vol

Tasting Notes - Fairly good strong triple with lots of taste. Starts off with bags of pale malt and alcohol but the hops overtake this.

Gueule Noire Koempelbier - 8% alc/vol

Comments - Brewed for Corman-Collins of Battice.

Tasting Notes - Pleasant enough table beer with more character than most of the mass-market brands.

Saison De Silly - 5% alc/vol View Label 11 Kb

Comments - First brewed around 1900. A blend of a number of different Saison brews.
Tasting Notes - A good example of an honets, fruity, Saison beer.

Scotch De Silly - 8% alc/vol View Label 10 Kb

Comments - First brewed around 1850 but current name taken about 1940.
Tasting Notes - Wonderfully easy drinking Scotch ale. Not particularly traditional in style, but thankfully has not followed the trend towards sweet insipidity.

Silbrau Dort - 6% alc/vol View Label 8 Kb

Tasting Notes - A Dortmunder style character but is a little too one dimensional to be of any real interest.

Silly Pils - 4.8% alc/vol View Label 10 Kb

Comments - First brewed 1948. Previously called Myn's Pils.
Tasting Notes - Pleasant, interesting tasting pils with a smoother than usual texture and a caressing mouthfeel.

Comments - First brewed 1964. With different conditioning it becomes Abbaye de Cambron and is sold at Le Domain at Cambron-Casteau, a ruined abbey north of Mons.
Tasting Notes - A strange beer, difficult to categorise but with an amazing amount of body and taste.

Titje - 4.8% alc/vol

Comments - First brewed 1990. Titje is slang for inhabitant of town of Enghien.
Tasting Notes - A unique and characterful white beer. Not at all what you would expect.

Villers St. Ghislain Blonde - 7.2% alc/vol

Comments - Brewed for Michaux Seconde of St-Symphorien..
Tasting Notes - Very hoppy with a disappointingly tangy finish.

Villers St. Ghislain Brune - 8% alc/vol

Comments - Brewed for Michaux Seconde of St-Symphorien..
Tasting Notes - Pronounced malt character, reminiscent of British barley wine.
