Any tasting notes that appear against the beers are the personal opinions of the authors. If the authors disagree on any aspect then their initials appear before their individual opinion.

Cuvée De Noël - 9% alc/vol

Comments - First brewed 1984
Tasting Notes - A pleasant and warming dark ale with a character that certainly lives up to most drinkers idea of a Christmas ale.

Cuvée De Noël >75cl

Grisette Ambrée - 5% alc/vol

Grisette Blanche - 5% alc/vol

Grisette Blonde - 4.5% alc/vol

Comments - First brewed 1988.
Tasting Notes - Pleasant enough drink but with a 'safe' and unexciting character. Pretty ordinary by Belgian standards.

Jean De Nivelles - 7.5% alc/vol

Comments - Only available locally to Nivelles.
Tasting Notes - Fruity malt is dominant throughout although the finish is spicy with a strong fruity tang.

Saint Feuillien Blonde >75cl - 8% alc/vol

Comments - First brewed 1988.
Tasting Notes - Sweeter and smoother than the smaller bottles with a less clean and clinical, but more artisanal, taste. Hop character is also noticeably different.

Saint Feuillien Blonde 33 & 75 cl - 7.5% alc/vol

Comments - First brewed 1950. Brewed and bottled by Du Bocq.
Tasting Notes - An accomplished and wonderfully hoppy blonde ale. Noticeably fizzier than the St-Feuillien version.

Saint Feuillien Brune >75cl - 8% alc/vol

Comments - First brewed 1988.
Tasting Notes - Although overt darkly roast malt in character it is fuller and has a greater depth than the smaller bottles, mainly due to the fact that more fruit and spice come through. Addition of some sediment adds still greater depth and makes it mellower and creamier.

Saint Feuillien Brune 33 & 75 cl - 7.5% alc/vol

Comments - First brewed 1950. Brewed and bottled by Du Bocq.
Tasting Notes - Distinctive dark abbey-style beer with a pronounced roast malt character. The addition of some sediment imparts more spicy flavours and a little more interest.

Saint Feuillien Triple - 8.5% alc/vol
